Keeping You Informed...

The New Teacher Luncheon is a great opportunity for you to meet the new teachers in our Ponca City school system and for them to learn about your business. Cost is $30 and buys lunch for you and a new teacher or administrator. Please phone the Chamber at 765-4400 or email me back if you would like to attend. It is Tuesday, August 8th at 11:30 a.m. at the Carolyn Renfro Event Center. More details are in this email blast.

Congratulations to the Ponca City Public Schools for their energy efficiency rebate check they received for participation in the Oklahoma Municipal Power Authority DEEP Program. A check was presented Monday at the school board meeting by representatives from O.M.P.A. and Ponca City Energy. Shown L-R are Josef Schrader, Oklahoma LED , Phillip Johnston, Director of Ponca City Energy, Craig Stephenson, City Manager, Nancy Rathbun, Vice Mayor, Shelley Arrott, Superintendent, Dave Osburn, Director of Oklahoma Municipal Power Authority, Brett Smith Director of Maintenance and Operations Ponca City Schools and Sean West O.M.P.A. Energy Services Technician. Ponca City Energy and O.M.P.A. would like to remind all Ponca City Businesses about the DEEP Program. The Ponca City School System was only one of our Ponca City businesses that have utilized the DEEP Program to improve the demand and efficiency of their business. O.M.P.A. and Ponca City Energy presented the Ponca City School Board a rebate check for $96,553.88 for the projects they completed. Did you Know?

This is a must Chamber Lunch and Learn for EVERYONE! You need to sign up today! If you have employees who drive for you this is a Chamber Lunch and Learn they should attend. It will be Wednesday, July 26th from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. at Pioneer Technology Center in the East Seminar Room. Cost is only $10 per person and includes lunch. This lunch and learn is on safe driving. This is very important for your employees and for your business. There is more information in a flyer in this newsletter. Phone 765-4400 to RSVP.

Business after Hours is going to be Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. hosted by Old West Liquors and the Ponca City Country Club at the PCCC.

We had visitors sign our guest book this past week from Texas, Iowa, Kansas, Virginia, Alaska, Louisiana, Michigan, Colorado, Missouri, France and all around Oklahoma. You have to love summer and vacation time!

Get your tickets today for the Party at the Palace/Chamber Auction Friday, August 18th starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Marland Mansion. Cost is $25 per person and includes food, drinks, music and great auction items. Tickets are available at the Chamber Office 5th and Grand Avenue.

Would you like to sponsor a new teacher during our New Teacher Luncheon on Tuesday, August 8 at 11:30 a.m. at the Carolyn Renfro Event Center? Cost is $30 and that pays for your lunch and a new teacher's lunch. Please phone 765-4400 to sign up. It is a great way to promote your business and meet a new teacher in our school system.
